How to add simple Light practices to your day to day and thrive in your recovery from addiction.
There are an abundance of practices for navigating recovery from the disease of addiction. Yet, one of the most important perspectives is often left out: Quantum Biology (the study of Light, Water, Magnetism, and the mitochondria).
This program looks at your light environment and it will give you the tools you need to start healing your mitochondria and balancing your circadian rhythm no matter what stage of addiction recovery you are in. No matter what kind of addiction, whether it is substance based or behavioral.
This is for you if:
- You are experiencing sleep issues.
- You are experiencing chronic fatigue or variable energy issues.
- You have anxiety.
- You have mood swings and/or are very reactive to situations.
- You are in the first two years of recovery from addiction.
- You have other Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms (small list mentioned above) that will not seem to go away even though you are past two years of abstinence.
- You desire to live simply and use natural elements in your healing process.

Changes I have noticed in myself:
β² I have lost the 10-15 pounds that I have been fighting for DECADES! π
β² I wake up with no alarm clock. β°
β² I have far less sugar cravings if any. π
β² I do not burn in the sun even though I am a Fitzpatrick Skin Type II. ππΌββοΈ
β² I no longer have to wear any type of chemical sunscreen, which contains chemicals that are very harmful to the microbiome of our skin and body. If I have to be outside all day. I wear a hat or seek shade when I know I have my daily dose of UVA and UVB. βοΈ
β² I am hungry for breakfast in the morning, which is a sign that proper signaling is happening in my body. π³
β² I no longer have cross addiction to shopping or spending money. π΅
β² I have a history of severe period cramps. I still get them, but they are not as bad and every other month they are less painful than the "painful" ones I experience now. Old ones on a scale of 1-10 were a 9 every month. New ones on the same scale alternate between a 6 and 3 rotation. π«
β² My hair grows! I also have new baby hairs coming in where I have historically had a receding hairline. ππΌββοΈ
β² I no longer have gut issues. π₯΄
β² I am less reactive and have a very stable mood. π
β² I am no longer photosensitive and therefore I have no need for sunglasses, but there are other reasons I no longer wear them that you will learn in the course. πΆοΈ
β² I stopped wearing my contacts all together and my glasses only when I need them. This has led to a drop in my prescription. π€
β² My facial structure changed from a round face to more of a heart shaped face. This is likely due to less inflammation in my body, not necessarily from losing 10-15 pounds. β€οΈ
β² I do not workout as much. I used to think I had to do very hard workouts to get results. Now I just strength train with light-medium weights 3-4 times a week and walk on a daily basis. I have a Peleton spin bike, which I hardly use anymore because I prefer to be outside. I do not get sore muscles if I workout outdoors.π¦ΆπΌ
There are likely more things than this, but these are the main things I have noticed that have brought more FREEDOM, HAPPINESS and JOY to my life in long term recovery.
